University or Organization: Bucknell University Department: Foreign Languages/Linguistics Job Rank: Visiting Assistant Professor Specialty Areas: Semantics Required Language(s): Hebrew (heb) Description: The Department of Foreign Language Programs at Bucknell University invites applications for a one-year entry level position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in Modern Hebrew and Linguistics, beginning in August of 2006. The position is potentially renewable contingent on funding and satisfactory performance reviews. A Ph.D. in Linguistics is required, plus teaching experience in Modern Israeli Hebrew and theoretical linguistics. A strong preference will be given to applicants who can teach formal semantics (from a generative perspective). Preference will also be given to candidates who can contribute to the development of a program in Cognitive Science.
