Meeting Description:
The TCMWVL is a workshop meeting being held in recognition of Terry Crowley's contribution to the field and his role in the promotion of research on Vanuatu languages. The workshop sessions will focus on languages of Malakula and the paper sessions are open for presentations on a broader range of Oceanic languages. Invited participants: Julie Barbour (U Waikato), Amanda Brotchie (U Melbourne), John Lynch (USP-Port Vila), Ross Mckerras (SIL), Martin Paviour-Smith (Massey U). Sponsored by: New Zealand Marsden Fund, administered by the Royal Society of New Zealand
Papers are solicited on aspects of Vanuatu languages (including Bislama) and on extra-Vanuatu Oceanic languages (for 20 minute presentations in half hour segments including discussion). Abstracts should not exceed one page in length and should be sent as attachments (Word or pdf format) to: elizabeth.pearce vuw.ac.nz by 30 April 2006.
