This is a three-day graduate-level introduction to neurolinguistics, which will be followed by a two-day workshop on neurolinguistics (see separate posting). PhD students in Norway can get credit for this course. Others may also register to attend at the website.

LIINA PYLKKÄNEN, NYU: What we know about the neural bases of semantic interpretation (an introduction to MEG as a technique, including a comparison to ERPs; then an overview of what we currently know about the neural bases of semantic interpretation, including the electrophysiology, imaging and MEG literatures)

ALEC MARANTZ, MIT: The Mental Lexicon in the Decomposing Brain (evidence about the neural representation of morphology and arguments for morphological decomposition in word recognition and production, covering the aphasia and imaging literature)
