Applications are now invited for a probationary tenure track appointment, subject to final budgetary approval, to begin on or soon after July 1, 2007. We seek applicants with outstanding research and teaching expertise or potential. The successful candidate will teach courses in speech, language, and hearing sciences and in linguistics at the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate certificate levels. Applicants with a strong research background in speech or voice science, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, fluency, or augmentative and alternative communication are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must hold by the time of their appointment a PhD in Speech-Language Pathology, Psycholinguistics, Linguistics or a closely related field; post-doctoral research experience is an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to sustain an active program of research/scholarship, to work toward attracting external research funding, to participate in the academic and administrative activities of the Department, and to teach at the undergraduate level; there may also be future opportunities for teaching at the graduate level. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor, conditional on qualifications and experience. Review of applications will commence on May 14, 2007, and will continue until the position is filled.
