Specialty Areas: General Linguistics; Hispanic Linguistics Description: The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Linguistics, invites applications for an eight-month (two term) visiting assistant professor, beginning September 1, 2007. Applicants must have a solid training in linguistic analysis. The successful applicant will also have competence in one or more of the following areas: Hispanic linguistics, morphology, syntax, multilingualism, language acquisition, historical linguistics, or a specialization that complements the current research profile of the department. Experience in working with, or advising, undergraduates is also desired but not required. Candidates should send a CV, a statement of research and teaching interests, and teaching evaluations (required), and the names, email addresses, and postal addresses of at least three references (the applicant should notify these potential referees of their application).
