Meeting Description:

Faculty of Humanities of Tbilisi State University, Institute of Caucasiology
provide International Congress of Caucasiology "Caucasian Civilizations in
Lingvo-Cultural Context of the Near East" on October 22-25, 2007. The
volunteers, who want to participate in Congress must represent thesis. Paper 15
minutes +10 minutes for discussion. Congress would be devoted to the problem
Iberian-Caucasian languages, other languages of Caucasus, areal linguistic,
history and culture of Caucasian Peoples (cultural anthropology).

The working languages on the Congress are Georgian, Russian and English. The
thesis will be receipted by the format of electronic post pdf for special marks
using with Unicode. It is possible to send the printed forms by e-mail. The
thesis attached with their bibliography and materials must not exceed 2 printed
pages. The title of the report, author/authors, e-mail should be send
electronically, fax or post address.
The final term of receiving thesis is 20.07.2007. The decision of
organization committee will be announced to the authors on 05.09.2007.

The third annual Rovereto Workshop on Bilingualism will be held September
20 - 23 this year (2007) at the "Laboratorio di Scienze Cognitive" at the
University of Trento in Rovereto (Italy). The topic for this year's
workshop is Phonological processing in bilingual speech production and

The topic for this year's workshop is Phonological processing in bilingual
speech production and perception. If you are interested in presenting a
poster, please submit your abstract (500 words maximum) on the workshop's
website (http://www.unitn.it/events/bilingualism). A limited number of
posters will be accepted on the basis of their scientific merit. Although
submission of posters related to the main topic of the workshop are
encouraged, we will also consider any submission that deals with cognitive
and/or neuropsychological aspects of bilingualism. For those individuals
who do not have institutional support and who would benefit from financial
assistance, a small number of travel grants funded by the Fondazione Cassa
di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto are available on a competitive basis.
Please indicate in your submission if you would like your abstract to be
considered as an application for a travel grant.
