It brings together scholars working on East Asian languages from a variety of frameworks and perspectives. The XXIst JLAO will be held from June 28 through June 30 at the EHESS, 105 boulevard Raspail, 75006 Paris. Keynote speakers: Walter Bisang (Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz) William McGregor (Aarhus University) Moira Yip (University College London) Invited speakers (to be confirmed): William Baxter (University of Michigan) Christian Bauer (Humboldt University) Wolfgang Behr (Bochum University) Fang Mei (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) Henning Klöter (Universiteit Leiden) Pan Wuyun (Shanghai Normal University) George van Driem (Universiteit Leiden) Jeroen Wiedenhof (Universiteit Leiden) Zhang Bojiang (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) Zhu Qingzhi (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences) This year's conference will include panel sessions on Modern and Classical Chinese, Chinese dialects, Japanese, Korean, Naxi, Qiangic, Mon-Khmer and Tai-Kadai languages.
