The oriental department of the Institute of linguistics Russian State University for the Humanities invites you to participate in the 1st International scientific conference ''Oriental languages and cultures''. The list of sections is follow: - Oriental languages - Oriental culture - Oriental literature - Gender problems in languages and cultures - Tolerance in language and culture Working languages: Russian, English. Presentations, the master-classes, round tables also are planned. Application forms for participation in conference ''Oriental languages and cultures'' and theses of statements are accepted not later on September 15, 2007. We strongly recommend using fax or e-mailing communication because of the unreliability of Russian mail service. The materials of the conference will be published before the conference. The participation fee is 30 Rubles or 45$. Conditions of participation We ask to consider, that accommodation and travel costs should be covered by the sending party. Applicants should indicate in their application if they need dormitory accommodations at the university or hotels (estimated cost $140-$150 for the length of the program). There is limited number of dorm spaces available, so this request should be clearly marked in your covering e-mail.
