The theme of the conference will be: Parametric syntax and Language acquisition. Call for Papers Keynote speakers: C.-T. James Huang (Harvard University) Kenneth Wexler (MIT) Invited speakers: R. Amritavalli (Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages) Tanmoy Bhattacharya (University of Delhi) K. A. Jayaseelan (Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages) Jo-wang Lin (National Chiao Tung University) Anoop Mahajan (UCLA) Mamoru Saito (Nanzan University) Daiko Takahashi (Tohoku University) Wei-tien Dylan Tsai (National Tsing Hua University) Abstract submissions for paper presentation at Glow in Asia VI are invited in the core areas of grammar (phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics) and in theoretical psycholinguistics. Abstracts on the theme of parametric variation and language acquisition, as well as abstracts on all topics relevant to generative grammar, would be considered. Each paper will be allotted 45 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for discussion. Abstracts submitted should represent original, unpublished research. Each author may submit a maximum of one abstract for a single-author paper and one for a joint paper. Abstracts should be anonymous, of at most two A4 pages in length (including data and references), single-spaced and in 12 point font size. The title of the paper should appear at the top of the first page of the abstract. Only abstracts in pdf file format will be accepted. In the email submission, please include information on authorship, institutional affiliation, email address, mailing address, and phone contact. Please indicate clearly that the abstract is submitted to Glow in Asia VI. Please email abstracts to the conference organizers at: glowasia cuhk.edu.hk. Call for Papers We welcome submissions of works that address problems of East Asian linguistics from a theoretical perspective, preferably works bearing on the interface properties in East Asian languages.
