The Department of Computational Linguistics at the University of Heidelberg
advertises a half-time position for a Computational Linguist starting
October 1st, 2007. Initial duration is one year, with possible extension
for another year. Salary is according to the German scale TV-L 13.
We are looking for a skilled Computational Linguist who will provide
scientific and administrative support for our Computational Linguistics
teaching programs. This includes:
- Creation of a large repository of computational linguistics resources and
tools, intended for teaching purposes,
- Tutorials for introducing students to the usage of these resources and
tools,
- Tutorials for introducing students to the techniques of scientific
research in Computational Linguistics,
- Individual advice for students in their final student projects,
- Assisting students in questions regarding the study programs.
The successful candidate holds a diploma in Computational Linguistics or a
related field. Teaching courses in the Computational Linguistics program is
welcome, but not mandatory.

Stellenausschreibung der Universität Heidelberg
Am Seminar für Computerlinguistik der Universität Heidelberg ist zum 1.
Oktober 2007 die Stelle eines/einer Wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiters/in im
Bereich der inhaltlichen und administrativen Unterstützung der Lehre im
Studiengang Computerlinguistik der Universität Heidelberg in Teilzeit (50%)
zu besetzen.
Die Laufzeit des Vertrags beträgt zunächst ein Jahr, mit möglicher
Verlängerung um ein weiteres Jahr. Die Vergütung erfolgt nach TV-L 13.
Voraussetzung ist ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium im Fach
Computerlinguistik oder einem äquivalenten Fachgebiet.
Tätigkeit im Bereich der inhaltlichen und administrativen Unterstützung der
Lehre im Studiengang Computerlinguistik der Universität Heidelberg. Hierzu
zählen u.a.
- Aufbau umfangreicher computerlinguistischer Ressourcen
und Werkzeuge sowie Tutorien zu ihrer Nutzung,
- Tutorien zu Techniken wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens und
individuelle Unterstützung und Beratung der Studierenden
bei der Planung und Durchführung von Studienarbeiten, und
- Beratung der Studierenden in Studienfachfragen.
Lehrbereitschaft im Rahmen der Computerlinguistik-Studiengänge ist
willkommen, aber nicht Voraussetzung.
