The company is located in Mons (Belgium). We are currently looking for a linguist for the development of our Turkish text-to-speech system. Job Description: - development/adaptation of the Turkish natural language processing modules based on Acapela's technology - creation/collection of text corpora and lexicon - preparation of recording scripts - recordings of a Turkish voice - integration of the voice into the system - validation/testing of the text-to-speech system Profile: - preferably a native speaker; - good knowledge of Turkish phonetics/grammar required; - working knowledge of English or French; - skilled computer user (Windows or Unix); - experience with a scripting language ( e.g. PERL or AWK) is a plus. Period: The position is initially offered for a period of 6 months, starting from January 1, 2008 (or before if possbile).
