Description:
Centro de Linguística da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (CLUNL) wishes to
admit, for a period of five years, 3 post-doc researchers, with at least 3
years of relevant post-doc research, in one of the following fields:
- Computational Linguistics
- Historical Syntax
- Psycholinguistics
Job description:
The candidates will join an existing Research Unit at FCSH-UNL.
CLUNL is a Research Unit which develops and promotes research in different
areas of Linguistics (see website listed above). The researchers will have
the opportunity to initiate their own projects, but will also collaborate
with colleagues and contribute to the design and execution of related
studies. There are no teaching obligations.
Computational Linguistics
Job/Fellowship Reference: C2007-FCSH-CLUNL-CL
The researcher to be admitted should have a PhD in the field of
Computational Linguistics or Computer Science, and at least 3 years of
relevant post-doc research in the domains of natural language processing,
software evaluation and development, corpus tagging and annotation, data
base building. He/she is expected to develop and enhance investigation in
the domains of corpus tagging/annotation, building of data bases, and to
give support to the on-going projects of the Research Unit.
Psycholinguistics
Job/Fellowship Reference: C2007-FCSH-CLUNL-P
The researcher to be admitted should have a PhD in the field of
Linguistics, Psycholinguistics or related area, and at least 3 years of
relevant post-doc research in one of the following domains: language
acquisition, child language impairment, language pathologies or related areas
He/she is expected to enhance investigation and particular projects mainly
in the domain of language disorders and/or language acquisition, in
collaboration with the existing groups.
Historical Syntax
Job/Fellowship Reference: C2007-FCSH-CLUNL-HS
The researcher to be admitted should have a PhD in the field of
Linguistics, with at least 3 years of relevant post-doc research in the
domains of History of the Portuguese Language and Syntax. Experience with
computational corpus based research is preferential. He/she is expected to
develop and enhance investigation on the lexicon and grammar of Old
Portuguese, in particular through the enlargement, updating and
exploitation of the available linguistic resources of the Research Unit
(http://cipm.fcsh.unl.pt), in collaboration with the existing groups.
