Research Assistant/Associate (1 year fixed-term) £23,002- £26,666 per annum The School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences is seeking to recruit a Research Associate or Research Assistant. You will be an enthusiastic graduate, either working on or having completed a PhD in phonetics, speech science, or related areas of linguistics. You will have the skills and expertise to join a research group which is developing a number of projects in the general area of sociophonetics. Further requirements are good time management and organisational skills, excellent IT communication skills and knowledge of broader agendas relating to the phonetics - phonology - sociolinguistics interfaces. You will be a good team player and will be willing to make a contribution to Linguistics and Language Sciences at Newcastle beyond the confines of the immediate projects which you will be developing.
