Description:

We at Philips Speech Recognition Systems develop end-user applications and
SDK products, based on our industry leading speech recognition technology.
These MS Windows-PC based client/server systems are designed for
"Professional Information Capture," primarily in the health care area. Our
markets are global, based on co-operation with many international partner
companies. Our product development projects offer a variety of interesting
and challenging tasks, within a young, motivated and skilled multi-cultural
team.

Your Responsibilities:
You will work in a group of 2/3 persons to develop a Catalan speech
recognition software component for Radiologists. Main work will be to
check the orthography and phonetic transcriptions of word lists in Catalan
(from both general and medical areas). Some medical texts in Catalan may
also have to be dictated (creation of a sound test set).

Your Profile:

Linguistic background:
- You must have an excellent orthography and phonetic knowledge in Catalan.
- You must have a very good orthography and phonetic knowledge in Spanish.

- You must be exact and reliable. And also have a good team spirit.
- Basic knowledge in computer (Windows).
- English, German, or French for communication reasons within the team.
- Basic knowledge in the medical area would be an advantage.
