Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's preferred, and 3-5 years of professional experience as a programmer. In lieu of degrees, 7-10 years of equivalent experience. Other requirements of the position include knowledge of LAMP environments; web application servers, such as Apache; one or more high-level programming languages, such as C++ and Java; current scripting languages/protocols, including Perl, PHP, XML, Ajax; and, database standards and applications, such as ODBC, DBI, and MySQL. Experience with Internet 2, natural language processing, data mining, or machine learning techniques an asset.
