The Hong Kong Polytechnic University invites applications for research postgraduate studies (MPhil and PhD) starting in the academic year 2007-2008. The major research areas are (in alphabetic order): Applied Chinese study and Chinese education in Hong Kong; Bilingual communication and bilingual education; Chinese linguistics: grammar-oriented; Chinese linguistics: sounds, script and IT-oriented; and Translation studies.
