Description:
The Department of Linguistics and Asian/Middle Eastern Languages at San Diego State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Japanese at the rank of Assistant Professor to start in the Fall of 2008. The person appointed will be able to teach Japanese language courses at all levels and some courses in Japanese linguistics. It is strongly preferred that applicants have the PhD in hand by August 2008. Experience in teaching Japanese and native or near-native fluency in Japanese are required, as well as an active and promising research program. Please send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, transcripts and samples of your scholarly writing to the address given below.
