Online Tutors Bilingual in Haitian Creole & English: Language Arts, Social
Studies, Math, & Science
SMARTHINKING, Inc. is hiring motivated individuals to serve as part-time
online tutors in the following areas:
- Language Arts (middle school through pre-collegiate levels) in Haitian
Creole and English
- Social Studies (middle school through pre-collegiate levels) in Haitian
Creole and English
- Math (middle school through pre-collegiate levels) in Haitian Creole and
English
- Science (middle school through pre-collegiate levels) in Haitian Creole
and English
A Washington, DC-based education organization, SMARTHINKING, Inc. provides
real-time online tutoring and learning support to middle schools, high
schools, and colleges.
Candidates can work from any location with computer and Internet access.
Candidates must be available to work afternoons and evenings during
weekdays. Candidates may work up to 20 hours per week. To qualify,
individuals must have substantial teaching/tutoring experience in their
given field and an enthusiasm for online education. Tutors must be fluent
in both written and spoken English and Haitian Creole. Linguists are
encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have training and/or experience in one or more of
the following areas: MA or PhD coursework or degree in a related field;
bilingual teaching/tutoring experience at middle school, high school,
and/or collegiate levels. The ideal candidate will also have familiarity
with Florida Sunshine State Standards.
