Description:
The Program in Language and Linguistics at Brandeis University announces the search for a full-time tenure-track position, open as to rank, to begin July 1, 2008. Candidates should hold a PhD in linguistics by the starting date. Applications are solicited from any area of linguistics, but preference will be given to linguists with specialties in one of the following disciplines: computational linguistics, syntax, and discourse and pragmatics. Responsibilities include teaching and advising at the undergraduate and graduate level. First consideration will be given to applications received by December 1, 2007. Applications should include a CV, statements of research and teaching interests, teaching evaluations (if available), representative samples of published or unpublished work, and the names and email addresses of three references. All applicants should also arrange for their letters of reference to be sent directly to the Search Committee.
