Individuals are encouraged to apply who have an interest in applying Conceptual Semantics, the Parallel Architecture, or the Simpler Syntax Hypothesis to new areas of empirical investigation, or to build connections between these theories and other frameworks such as formal semantics, HPSG, and Optimality Theory. In addition to pursuing research, the fellow will participate in teaching an introductory linguistics course and will also participate in interdisciplinary seminars and workshops sponsored by the Center for Cognitive Studies. The fellow will receive a competitive stipend. Applicants should submit a short research proposal of no more than 3 single-spaced pages; a curriculum vitae; a one-page description of approach to teaching/mentoring and teaching experience; and three letters of recommendation. Deadline for applications is March 15th. Tufts is an EO/AAE employer.
