De leerstoelgroep Taal & Communicatie van de Faculteit der Letteren van de
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam zoekt een universitair docent met als taak het
verzorgen van onderwijs en het verrichten van onderzoek op het terrein van
taal en communicatie. De leerstoelgroep richt zich op onderwijs en
onderzoek op het terrein van de taalbeheersing, waarbij de groep
taalbeheersing opvat als de verbinding tussen taalkunde en
communicatiewetenschap. Het onderwijs en het onderzoek van de
leerstoelgroep Taal & Communicatie kenmerken zich door de analyse van
specifiek talige aspecten van schriftelijk en mondeling taalgebruik in
conventionele en nieuwe media en door de empirische toetsing van
voorstellen voor optimalisering van taalgebruik.
Taak
In het onderwijs ligt de nadruk op het verzorgen van colleges aan studenten
van de opleidingen Nederlandse Taal- en Cultuurstudies en Communicatie- &
Informatiewetenschappen, zowel op Ba- als op Ma-niveau. Ook wordt u geacht
stages en scripties te begeleiden.
In de leerstoelgroep wordt onderzoek gedaan naar de effectiviteit en
optimalisering van communicatie in met name institutionele contexten.
Binnen dit kader richt uw onderzoek zich op de rol van taal in communicatie
in institutionele genres en in conventionele en nieuwe media. Bij voorkeur
is dat onderzoek gericht op gebieden als journalistiek of
gezondheidscommunicatie.
Bijzonderheden
- Dit is een voltijdspositie, maar een deeltijdaanstelling is bespreekbaar.
- De arbeidsovereenkomst wordt aangegaan voor een periode van een jaar,
startend op 1 januari 2008. Bij gebleken geschiktheid volgt een
arbeidsovereenkomst voor vier jaar.
