Looking for an Assistant Professor or Lecturer/Instructor in Applied Linguistics/Linguistics/TEFL The Modern Languages Department at the Arab American University - Jenin/occupied Palestinian Territories is looking for an instructor/lecturer (MA holder) or Assistant Professor (PhD holder) in Applied Linguistics/Linguistics/TEFL to teach in spring 2008 (starting February 16) and also in 2008 - 2009. The successful candidate will be offered a year-long renewable contract. International faculty members are offered annual round-trip tickets and free housing. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with degrees and teaching experience. In addition to academic and expository writing, courses in the curriculum include introduction to linguistics, speech patterns, phonetics, the history of the English language, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, language acquisition, advanced grammar and error analysis.
