Description:
*Active TS/SCI Required* The linguists' primary function shall be to furnish extensive linguistic services for U.S. Forces. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.The Linguist shall provide training and translation services for documents from the Specified Contract Required Language SCRL(s) into English or from English into the SCRL(s), as well as produce written documents such as transcripts, reports (in accordance with unit checklists and timelines) and posters, and/or signs. 2.Shall provide training to military forces. 3.Shall provide training using existing global and Cryptologic language training curriculum and materials as required. 4.Shall develop new global and Cryptologic training materials and curriculum where none exist as required. Submit to Government for approval. 5.Shall deliver approved training using Advanced Distributed Language technologies and emerging language acquisition technologies and to post materials to provide remote access to these materials as required. 6.Shall track training and provide reports on student training, use of online training materials as required. 7.Integrate all training developed and currently in use and make all available for multiple users in a technology enhanced environment as required. 8.Quickly deploy and integrate new Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) curriculum and materials as required. Minimum Qualifications: - Shall have minimum proficiency in the target language Interagency Language Round Table (ILRT) level 2 and an advanced working proficiency in English, ILRT level 2+, based on the DLPT 4. - Shall have the ability to write and speak in clear and concise grammar and pronunciation of the SCRL. - Shall have the capability of providing idiomatic translations of non-technical material using correct syntax and expression from English to the SCRL(s) or vice versa; and conduct training of the same. - Shall have the ability to conduct consecutive, accurate translations/interpretation of on-going conversations/activities and to conduct training of the same. Education/Experience: - Bachelor's Degree preferred. - 3-5 years of experience in Specified Contract Required Language SCRL(s) into English or from English into the SCRL(s). - Active TS/ SCI - Have knowledge in the use of computers and associated operating systems such as Microsoft Office Suite. Distributed Learning and E-learning; Web-based language learning programs and on-line language testing for tactical applications; as well as the use of language software tool evaluations to support customers' language needs.
