W2/W3 Professorship in English Linguistics The English Department of the University of Jena invites applications for a position of a W2- or W3-Professorship (i.e. associate or full professorship) in English Linguistics to begin April 1, 2009. Applicants should have a distinguished record of research and substantial teaching experience. This is a full-time, permanent position; however, for more junior candidates the initial employment status may be temporary (i.e. tenure-track). The ideal candidate has a broad background in English and general linguistics and expertise in using multiple methodologies of empirical linguistic research. Applicants should have a working knowledge of German (or the willingness to learn German within two years) and should have experience in the acquisition of research funds.
