Description:
The Department of Linguistics and English Language at Brigham Young University announces a continuing status track, professorial position in general linguistics. Applications are invited from any field of linguistics although specialists in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, the lexicon, or sociolinguistics are especially welcome. Successful candidates must have an active research program, and will teach general linguistics courses, as well as courses in an area of specialty. Duties also include supervision of master's theses and citizenship assignments. The applicant must hold a PhD (or must have a completed PhD before the date of hire). Starting rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
