We seek outstanding applicants who have a Ph.D. in linguistics; applications from candidates with a specialization in phonetics, preferably in combination with another area of the discipline (e.g., laboratory phonology, psycholinguistics, sociophonetics, language endangerment) are particularly welcome. A Ph.D. by the start of appointment is required. The position, partially endowed by the journal Language Learning, involves ½ time teaching responsibilities (2 courses per year) and ½ time research. A letter of application, curriculum vitae, research and teaching statements, one or more representative publications, and evidence of teaching excellence should be sent to the address below. Please also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent. Review of dossiers will begin February 20, 2007 and will continue until the position is filled.
