Description:
Department of East Asian Studies, University of Arizona, invites applications
for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track position as Visiting Assistant
Professor or Adjunct Instructor of Chinese language and linguistics, beginning
August, 2007. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per year including
'Languages and Cultures of East Asia' each semester, advanced Chinese language
and/or linguistics classes and supervising TAs. Required: ABD in Chinese
linguistics or related field
(PhD for Visiting Assistant Professor), proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and
English, demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching. Preferred
qualifications: experience teaching North American undergraduates and
