Description:
We are seeking to make an appointment to a Lectureship in the above area from 1 September 2007. Applicants should have an established research record in the form of publications in refereed outlets, or be able to offer evidence of the ability to develop such a record. Additionally, they will be able to provide PhD and MA dissertation supervision in the areas in which they have research expertise, and to contribute to the department's teaching. An important part of this teaching will be in the delivery of a new MA Programme in Second Language Acquisition that is to be introduced in October 2007. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with research and teaching expertise in the applications of theoretical phonology in the fields of Second Language Acquisition, as well as other areas such as First Language Acquisition, Language Disorders, Psycholinguistics and Language Variation. Appointment to a Lectureship will be made on the scale £33779 - £40335 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
