Meeting Description:
The Department of Translation Studies at the United Arab Emirates University in
Al Ain, United Arab Emirates is organizing a three-day international Conference
on Translation and Interpretation and the Impact of Globalization, to be held at
a Hotel (Al Ain) from November 18-20, 2008.
Call for Papers
Conference participants should submit an abstract of no more than 300 words,
typed and double-spaced. There will be 20 minutes for presentation and 10
minutes for discussion. Because the Conference will be hosted in English, all
abstracts, papers and posters must be submitted and presented in English. The
Conference Organizing Committee will also allow electronic submissions in the
form of emails. On a separate cover page, please provide your name and title,
full mailing address, phone/fax number and email address.
Deadline for abstract submission is August 15, 2008. Feedback on acceptance of
proposals is set for September 4, 2008. Finalized papers and posters must be
submitted by September 25, 2008.
