Meeting Description:

This is to announce a one-day workshop on pragmatic stylistics taking place on
the Trent Park campus of Middlesex University on Wednesday the 16th of July from
10am until 6pm. The workshop is free and open to all but space is limited so
registration is required. Please register interest by contacting Billy Clark:

Speakers include: Diane Blakemore, Derek Bousfield, Billy Clark, Anne Furlong,
Barbara MacMahon and Adrian Pilkington.

The main focus will be on the nature of specific analyses of literary and other
texts which are based on insights from linguistic pragmatics. There will be a
number of presentations and an open discussion to conclude the day.
