Description:
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Michigan State University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor in Hispanic Linguistics for the 2008-2009 academic year. The course load is expected to be 3/3 including upper-division undergraduate courses in Spanish linguistics (introduction to Spanish linguistics, phonetics, and a topics course in the candidate's area of specialization). PhD in Spanish linguistics or related field is preferred. Ability to teach in Spanish is required. Application materials, including a CV, a cover letter detailing research and teaching interests, sample teaching evaluations, and two letters of recommendation, should be sent to the address listed below. We will begin to consider applications on June 27 and will continue until the position is filled.
