Description:
Georgia State University's Department of Applied Linguistics & ESL is accepting applications for a half-time Visiting Lecturer position for the 2008/2009 academic year. This is a non-tenure track position to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in general linguistics and second language acquisition (two courses per semester). The position comes with a complete benefits package. A PhD in Applied Linguistics or a closely related field is required by August 2008. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant teaching experience. Send application letter, CV, graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and evidence of teaching effectiveness to Dr. John Murphy, Chair, at the application address listed below.
