Meeting Description
The 5th Workshop on Occitan Linguistics will take place in Tolosa on July 4th
2008 in the CROM building (Centre de Ressources Occitanes et Méridionales, 56
carrièra del Taur / rue du Taur, 31000 Tolosa/Toulouse).
Call for Papers
The workshop is organized by the Association for Occitan Linguistics and invites
contributions from all fields of synchronic or diachronic Occitan linguistics
(lexicology, syntax, morphology, phonology, dialectology, etc.). Comparative
approaches are also welcomed. Contributions can focus on results from completed
as well as ongoing research. All abstracts submitted should represent original
and unpublished work.
Abstracts are invited for 20 minutes talks, followed by 10 minutes discussion.
The workshop languages are Occitan, another Romance language or English.
Interested parties should send the title of their proposed talk accompanied by
an abstract (Word document) by e-mail to articlesrevistadoc.org in two
versions, one anonymous and one with your name and affiliation, before April 1st
2008. Papers may be published in the online journal ''Lingüistica Occitana''
(www.revistadoc.org), if approved by the journal's scientific committee.
There will be no conference fee.

La cinquena edicion de l'Obrador de Linguistica Occitana se debanarà a Tolosa lo
4 de julh de 2008, al CROM, 56 carrièra del Taur.
Organizat per l'associacion ''Linguistica occitana'', l'Obrador es dubèrt a
totes los que vòlon intervenir sus una question de linguistica occitana (lexic,
sintaxi, morfologia, fonologia, dialectologia, ...) tant en sincronia coma en
diacronia. Cap de tèma i es pas impausat. Los apròchis comparatius son
possibles. Aquel encontre pòt èsser l'escasença de presentar un trabalh acabat o
en cors d'elaboracion.
Las lengas de comunicacion seràn l'occitan, una autra lenga romanica o l'anglés.
La participacion al collòqui se fa a res-non-còst.
Se prevei un temps de 30 minutas per cada comunicacion (20 +10 minutas de
discussion).
Las personas interessadas devon mandar per corrièr electronic a
articlesrevistadoc.org una proposicion de comunicacion acompanhada d'un resumit
(de 10 a 30 linhas, format Word) en dos exemplars, un de dos anonim, abans lo 1r
d'abril de 2008. Seràn assabentadas de l'acceptacion ou del refús abans lo 1r de

The Conference on Complex Predicates in Iranian Languages is intended
to cover analysis of complex predicates in languages belonging to the
Iranian language family, in a range of different frameworks (theoretical,
computational, functional, typological, historical, etc.). Papers addressing any
aspect of complex predicate constructions in Iranian languages are welcome.
Submission Requirements:
Please send a one-page abstract plus one additional page for data and
references. Abstracts should be sent as an attachment in PDF or MS Word
to cpiranianlinguistics.org. Include the name(s) of the author(s),
affiliation, contact information and paper title in the body of the email. One
single authored and/or one co-authored abstract is permitted per person.
