2nd Mediterranean Graduate Meeting in Linguistics (MGML 2)

Call for Papers

The Department of Linguistics of the Mersin University is pleased to announce
the 2nd Mediterranean Graduate Meeting in Linguistics (MGML 2) to be held on
12-13 March 2009. The MGML 1 brought together researchers working on all fields
of linguistics and on any languages as subjects of the study. For MGML 2, any MA
or PhD student is very welcome to submit an abstract on any topic related to
linguistics.

The conference will consist of:
(A) Plenary Presentations with Invited Speakers
(B) Parallel Paper Sessions
(C) Poster Sessions

The language of the conference is English.

Abstract submission date: 15 October 2008

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
- Length: one A4 page (250-300 words)
- Format: 1 spacing, 3cm left/right, top/bottom margins
- Fonts: Times New Roman 12pt
- Title of paper in bold capitals on the left-hand side of the first line
- Together with the abstract, you should provide a cover sheet with the
following information:
1. your name,
2. your affiliation (department and university),
3. your email address (the one you check regularly),
4. the title of the paper, and the area of research (e.g. syntax, phonetics,
psycholinguistics, etc.).
- Please send abstracts by email in Word or PDF version, with ''abstract
submission'' in the subject field (we can only accept abstracts sent by e-mail
as attachments), to the conference email address:
mgmlmersingmail.com, by 15 October 2008.
- Accepted papers will be 20 minutes in length plus 10 minutes discussion.

Proceedings:
Linguistics papers will be selected to appear in the proceeding book of the
conference after the conference.
