SVOX AG (website above) is a dynamic technology company specialised in
text-to-speech, and a leading provider of speech output solutions for
automotive and mobile devices. We are seeking to add to our research and
development department a team leader to manage development projects and
drive the integration and deployment of new SVOX products.
Tasks:
- Build up and lead a new team within SVOX research and development to
integrate and deploy new SVOX products and product extensions. The task
of your team includes for example the creation of new language packages
for TTS products, building on existing linguistic resources at SVOX
- Become an expert user of the current SVOX products, language
resources, and development tools
- Manage product development projects
- Verify quality of developed products and coordinate quality
improvement cycles
- Perform configuration and release management
- Write computer programs and scripts to streamline product build,
test, and integration
- Locate, contract, and supervise external developers to provide
additional linguistic resources
Formal Requirements:
- Master's degree in computational linguistics, computer science, or
related field
- Hands-on experience (5+ years) and a successful track record in
text-to-speech technology development or a related field
- 2+ years experience in project management
- Excellent programming and scripting skills
Personal Requirements
- Capability to quickly understand multifaceted technologies and
technical processes
- High quality standards and attention to detail
- Pragmatic team player and self-starter
- Outstanding organisational and team leading skills
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to relocate to Zurich, Switzerland
