Description:
Assistant/Associate Professor in German Studies. Tenure-track position in German to begin 8/19/09, pending budgetary approval. Qualifications: Ph.D. in German culture, linguistics, or literature, or in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) by date of appointment, university-level teaching experience, native or near-native fluency in German and English, a developing or established scholarly research program in an appropriate area. Duties include teaching all levels of German language, literature, and culture, supervising basic language courses, participating in the MALL (Master of Arts in Language Learning) Program. Interest in language coordination, pedagogy, curriculum articulation from the undergraduate through the graduate level, and instructional technology desirable.
