Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Konstanz invites applications for a W3-Professorship in Phonology and/or Phonetics (permanent position). The candidate directs and executes research and teaching in the fields of phonology and/or phonetics in the general linguistic study programme (B.A./M.A. level) and supervises doctoral candidates. The language specialization is open. We are, however, looking for candidates who will be able to complement existing strengths at our department. The candidate acquires and develops research funding. Cooperation with existing and planned research proposals at the department is expected. The ideal candidate is an internationally renowned expert in the field of phonology and/or phonetics, as testified for example by important monographs, publications in established linguistic journals, invited conference papers, fellowships and awards.
