Teaching Translation and Interpreting 2 Short Title: TTI 2009 Date: 04-Apr-2009 - 04-Apr-2009 Location: Lodz, Poland Contact: Lukasz Bogucki Contact Email: bogus uni.lodz.pl Meeting URL: http://www.tti2009.pl Linguistic Field(s): Translation Meeting Description: The Department of Translation Theory and Practice (part of the Chair of English Language and Applied Linguistics) is proud to announce that the 2nd international conference on Teaching Translation and Interpreting (TTI2009) will be held on 4 April 2009 (arrival day 3 April) at the Lodz University Conference Centre in Lodz, Poland, Kopcinskiego 16/18. The conference draws on the success of TTI 1, organised in April 2008, where it was unanimously decided that meetings devoted to theoretical and practical aspects of translation training, translation didactics and translation curricula are a necessity. Cost: The cost of conference registration is 60 euros. This includes a conference pack, coffee breaks and participation in sessions. A conference package is available (including registration fee, accommodation [2 nights], full board) at 180 euros. Please, note that all accommodation bookings at the conference centre are handled by the organizers and the conference centre will not accept reservations coming directly from participants. Conference participation and accommodation is subsidised for Polish participants. The costs are (Polish participants working in Poland only): Conference registration: PLN 150 Accommodation (bed and breakfast, single room): PLN 140/night Accommodation (bed and breakfast, double room, 2 participants sharing): PLN 200/night Board (lunch, dinner, refreshments): PLN 50/day Payment Payment should be by bank transfer: BANK: PKO S.A.
