Dear Readers, We are now in the final stages of developing The LINGUIST List Student Portal, a new web module designed to provide information on, or guide students through, common problems encountered in the education process. This module is near completion, and we would like to ask you, our readers, for suggestions and information before we publicly launch the Student Portal. Our goal is to make the Student Portal accessible to students worldwide. We are asking for your help in contributing content on two specific topics: 1) how domestic and international students find funding sources either through a university or at the national level, and 2) information defining the role of an academic advisors, including information on how a student chooses an advisor in university systems outside the US. Please send any links or personal advice you wish to share on these topics to: portal linguistlist.org We greatly appreciate your contributions and hope the information you provide will help guide our student readers through difficulties they may encounter. We look forward to your comments and suggestions! Thank you for your continued support of The LINGUIST List! Linguistic Field(s): Not Applicable
