Description:
The department of English Education at Korea National University of Education (KNUE) invites two native speakers of English for a non-tenure track full-time visiting professor position, with specialization in TESOL and English writing. KNUE is the nation's leading university for teacher education collectively preparing and educating kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school teachers. This position requires an M.A. or higher degree in TESOL, English Linguistics, Literature, or a related field. Applicants should have a strong background in teaching English writing. Candidates will teach a combination of 3~5 undergraduate-level writing and conversation courses per semester. The appointment is under renewable one-year contract. Candidates with an interest in the position should send electronic files (MS Word or PDF format only) containing the following to the application e-mail below: - cover letter including summaries of teaching experience and of research interest - curriculum vitae - three writing samples - scanned images of diploma(s) and transcript(s). Interviews will take place for short-listed candidates and hard copies of the diploma(s) and transcript(s) and references will later be requested. Screening of applicants will begin on December 22, 2008 and continue until the position is filled. Earlier applications will be given the highest priority. Successful applicants shall be entitled to use one on-campus staff apartment according to KNUE housing regulations.
