Meeting Description:

The International Association of Maltese Linguistics (G?aqda Internazzjonali
tal-Lingwistika Maltija) is pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference
of Maltese Linguistics. This year's topic will be: "Variation and Change. The
dynamics of Maltese in space, time and society."

The conference will be hosted by the Institute of General and Applied
Linguistics at the University of Bremen and is meant to shed light on current
research projects from all kinds of areas within linguistics. Six invited
speakers and many international experts will present and discuss this and
related topics. As to the programme,there are still free slots on the reserve
list and in the poster session.

The conference language is English. Fee is 30 Euros (''early booking'' until
September 30, 2009) and 50 Euros on campus.

The conference forms a part of the ''Festival of Language'' which will take
place in Sept./Oct. 2009 in Bremen (see the website:
http://www.fb10.uni-bremen.de/festival/default.aspx).
