Job Description:
The successful candidate will be leading the research of statistical
natural language processing algorithms and applications. As an experienced
researcher and developer, the candidate has a keen interest in developing
real-world software through applied research in the fields of statistical
NLP, machine learning and data mining. The candidate will work with a team
of computational linguists and software developers and report to the chief
software architect.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Machine Learning applied to
Natural Language Processing (NLP), Data Mining, or Text Mining
- Solid background in statistical methods in NLP
- Experience in robust linguistic parsing of user queries
- Experience in building proof of concept systems
- Experience in programming
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Desired Skills
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Understanding of semantic representations and ontology construction
- Understanding of information retrieval
