The successful candidate will be expected to lead and further develop all aspects of award-bearing teaching in the Centre (Foundation level included), as well as carry out individual and team-based research in an area relating to the work of the Centre. In addition to holding a PhD in applied linguistics, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have previous teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level, a good record of research, and proven leadership and inter-personal skills. By negotiation, this post may entail periods of teaching or research at the University's campuses in Malaysia and/or in Ningbo, China. Salary will be within the range £46,278 - £55,259 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £65,965 per annum, subject to performance).
