Description:
The University of Zurich invites applications for an Assistant Professorship in Phonetics and Phonology to be filled at the earliest date possible. Applicants should have demonstrated competence in both teaching and research. The professorship is located in the phonetic laboratory/phonogram archive. It is desirable that applicants have experience in empirical research in the area of linguistic phonetics, also on the official languages of Switzerland. Interdisciplinary cooperation with the other linguistic departments is expected, both in research and teaching. The post is limited to a maximum of six years (three years plus extension). A Habilitationsschrift or substantial publications beyond the doctoral thesis are prerequisites. The University of Zurich wishes to increase the number of women in teaching and research. Therefore, applications from women are particularly welcome.
