The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.
Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page at http://linguistlist.org/jobs/jobnet.html. This page has been
set up so that people can report on the employment standards of various countries.

Description:
Part-time Instructor This is an open call for instructors to teach an academic course in Northeastern University's TESOL Certificate program. The course for which we need instructors is: Language and Linguistics for Educators (Intro to Language and Linguistics). This is our first year of implementing the Graduate Certificate program. While we currently offer hybrid courses, our goal is to have the program offered solely online with the exception of the final TESOL in Practice course which we will offer at different locations around the world. Therefore, immediate applicants should reside in or around the Boston area. We are looking for instructors who have both theoretical and practical knowledge of the content and field. Experience as an ESL/EFL teacher is strongly preferred. If you are interested in pursuing teaching opportunities, please reply to this message with the requisite materials. If you are chosen as a candidate, we will contact you promptly to schedule an interview.
