Description:
The Faculty of Linguistics and Literary Studies invites applications for the position of Associate Professor (German W2-level) in Phonetics and Phonology. The successful applicant will be responsible for the full scope of Phonetics and Phonology within the fields of linguistics and Clinical Linguistics in research and teaching. A focus on the following areas is expected: - phonetics/phonology interface - phonetic and phonological processing - speech synthesis Willingness to engage in the activities of the Bielefeld-based research groups which deal with the analysis and modeling of natural interaction processes is highly desirable. These include the CRC 673 'Alignment in Communication,' the Excellence Cluster 277 'Cognitive Interaction Technology,' and in the CorLab Institute ('Cognitive Robotics'). Candidates must have an excellent university record, a PhD degree in the field, strong academic achievements and an outstanding research record.
