General linguistics problems of description of language systems and sub-systems. Problem of kinship of the Ibero-Caucasian languages. Theory of an ergative construction. Aspects of normativeness of a literary language. Lexicology, lexicography, terminology. Socio-cultural, ethnolinguistical and psycholinguistical aspects of studying the languages. The modern methods and technologies of researching the Ibero-Caucasian languages. A round table: The future of the Ibero-Caucasian languages. Linguo-cultural portrait of the Caucasus and dialogue of cultures. The modern linguistics - the national languages and cultures in the context of globalization. The working languages of the symposium are: Georgian, Russian, English. English versions must be added to Georgian and Russian thesis.
