Description:
The newly established Excellence Cluster 'Multimodal Computing and Interaction' in Saarbruecken, Germany, seeks applications for a number of Junior Research Groups which are to be established. The Excellence Cluster provides a highly interdisciplinary research environment with a strong Computational Linguistics component. One of the cluster's central research areas is 'Speech and Language Processing', covering the research themes of semantically informed grammatical processing, integration and ontological grounding of meaning representations, and situated cross-modal speech processing. Close interaction with the application-oriented areas 'Open-science Web', 'Realistic Virtual Characters', and 'Multimodal Interfaces' is planned.
