Description:
Position Objective: To analyze data produced from research-based
doctor-patient communication studies in specific, targeted disease states
Responsibilities:
- Interact with MBS/Vox team members and consultants to identify patterns
in conversation for analysis
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses of transcripts and
report on findings
- Collaborate with MBS/Vox team members to create PowerPoint presentations
for client meetings based on research findings and marketing/educational
implications
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required. Relevant areas of study include one or more
of the following:
Linguistics (experience with discourse analysis, conversation analysis or
medical narrative an asset - computational linguistics also a plus)
Other behavioral or social science (e.g. anthropology, psychology, sociology)
English
Communications
Marketing
- Experience with data analysis (e.g. quantitative analyses, statistics
background or qualitative research) preferred
- Familiarity with carrying out observational research projects, such as
ethnography, a plus
- Detail-oriented in order to perform fine-grained textual analysis of
transcripts integral to the discourse analytic process
- Familiarity with healthcare, medicine, and/or the pharmaceutical industry
a plus
- Desire to work in a small team with the opportunity to develop a variety
of skill sets and show initiative to pitch in when needed on all types of
assignments
- Ability to maintain flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced, demanding
work environment with some late nights
