From: Wen-ying Lu <wenyinglees.cogsci.uiuc.edu>
Subject: Han YANG, where are you?
I am looking for Han YANG, whose PhD dissertation (1988, University of
York) is about some sentence-final and post-verbal particles in Mandarin
Chinese.
If anyone knows where he/she is, please contact me at

 <wenyinglees.cogsci.uiuc.edu> OR <wlg6587uxa.cso.uiuc.edu>

I am currently working on some Chinese sentence-final particles and would
like to read Yang's dissertation, which I cannot afford to purchase from
University Microfilms and which I cannot afford to await for the interlibrary
loan office to get access of it. If you know where Han Yang is and could tell
me how to contact him/her, I would really appreciate it.

 Wen-ying Lu

From: Leslie Burkholder <lb0q+andrew.cmu.edu>
Subject: Software
Can anyone point me to
(1) a phonetic alphabet font for either MSDOS or the Apple Macintosh?
(2) software for the Macintosh that allows matching of sound patterns (I
think something of the sort is available for ESL instruction)?
Thanks,
Leslie Burkholder
